  • ISBN Assignment (Purchased and owned by Author)

    • To maintain ownership of the book, FPG provides instructions on where and how to purchase an ISBN (for all formats) and/or a barcode (for print only). If publishing on Amazon, they provide a free ISBN and barcode, but distribution is limited to Amazon.

  • Market Research & Customer Research

    • In-depth analytics to determine the most effective positioning for your book, including target audience insights, comparative titles, and keyword strategy.

  • U.S. Federal Copyright Registration ($65 Government fee paid by Author)

    • A walk-through of submitting the manuscript to the US. Copyright Office.

  •  Advanced Editing (We make client-approved edits to the manuscript)

    • Developmental Editing:

      • Developmental editing of nonfiction books is a comprehensive, "big picture" editorial process that shapes the manuscript's structure, organization, tone, flow, and content to ensure the message is clear, logical, and engaging for the target audience.

    • Line Editing:

      • Line editing for a nonfiction book is a detailed, sentence-level review focusing on strengthening prose, improving flow, and enhancing clarity, typically occurring after structural edits. It involves tightening phrasing, ensuring a consistent, authoritative, or engaging tone, correcting awkward syntax, and reducing repetition. Factual accuracy is the responsibility of the Author.

    • Final proofreading and plagiarism checks are the author’s responsibility, but we will assist.

      • Fireside Publishing Group will upload your completed manuscript to a plagiarism and AI analysis tool, then submit the results to the client.
